PROTEIN ENGINEERING & BIOPROCESS SECTION (PEBS)

The Protein Engineering & Bioprocess Section (PEB) is a service facility which primary goal is to assist researchers requiring instrumentation and expertise in Fermentation Technology for protein (recombinant or native), biomass and chemical production. Our services ranges from PCR, construction of expression system to fermentation optimisation. Researchers can access to our facilities as contract research or through rental, for research or pilot-scale studies.

SARTORIUS Crossflow Filtration UnitFor large-scale cell harvesting as well as to concentrate extracellular proteins.
EPPENDORF 5810R CentrifugeSeparating components of a liquid.
IKA T25 Ultra Turrax HomogenizerDispersing device that can be used for homogenizing, emulsifying and suspending of various samples.
BRANSON Digital SonifierDisrupting cells, bacteria, spores, or tissue, and ideal for initiating and accelerating chemical, biochemical, and physical reactions, as well as for de-gassing liquids.
